Chaos-Forum : How are you doing?
JP : Doing fine , thank u .
Chaos-Forum : Present yourself to the audience.
JP : Im Jean-Pierre , Vocalist/Guitarist of the lebanese Doom metal act KIMAERA .
Chaos-Forum : Why the name of Kimaera?
JP: It was originally 'Chimera' which means 'Grotesque product of the imagination' , we had to change it to KIMAERA since other bands with the same name already existed.
Chaos-Forum : How you see the metal scenes in Arabic countries at this time?
JP : I think there is a lot of progress . A lot of good metal bands are emerging , working hard and releasing good material . Some of them are on international level, and that is great. Hopefully they will keep it up , we need that .
Chaos-Forum: How many concerts you played in lebanon ?
JP : We've had our fair number of concerts , I wont really count them , but we've been playing live since 2001 . We've had few setbacks with the line-up for couple of years , which kept us from performing live for around a year or two , but we were working on our debut album meanwhile .
Chaos-Forum : did you hear something about our scene in morocco ?
JP : I've heard a bit through marockmag.com . it seems it is pretty active .
Chaos-Forum : Can you tell me something in general about the
lyrics ?
JP : Our lyrics are mostly about our personnal experiences , about darker sides of the human beings and what's related to that , about history as well ..
We write about what we feel and what we go through , especially things that leave a big impact on our lives , especially mine .
Chaos-Forum : How do you see the future for the band? Think you make progression?
JP : Definitely . We've been working so hard , we managed to release our debut album worldwide through a russian label.. and thats only a rare number of arab bands managed to do . We are getting more and more exposure on the international underground scene , which is great and promising for the future .
Chaos-Forum : When exactly was it that you joined the band?
JP : I think u should have read our biography . I started the band back in 2000.
Chaos-Forum : What are your musical influences?
JP : Our musical influences are many and various . From heavy metal to Doom to Death metal , even Atmospheric/symphonic metal bands . And the result of that , is what we play.
to name few bands ' My Dying Bride , anathema , After Forever , Death , etc ...
Chaos-Forum : What is your future plans now? Are you planning any gigs in the near future?
JP : We have few big events coming up in summer, one of them is opening for 'Lake of tears' in July , and hopefully more to come .
The work on the second album is almost done , we will start recording it as soon as possible.
Chaos-Forum : What is your favorite song of "Kimaera" and why ?
JP : hmm , that's hard to answer. Each and every song is a personnal one in its own way.
I've put my talent , feelings and dedication in composing every one of them , so I cant really pick one . It would be easier for others to choose , but not me .
Chaos-Forum : Who are the guitar players that influenced you? And can tell us about the band's influences?
JP : That can be checked in our official website , by reading each member's profile .
Chaos-Forum : if you 'll be invited to playing here in morocco, do you accepte about this invitation?
JP : Of course . We've had an invitation before , but things didnt go as planned. So hopefully in the future , we will make it up .
Chaos-Forum : did you hear something about "kreator" when they played here in morocco front of 20 000 persons ?
JP : I've heard about it . IT is great ! Wish they come to lebanon too .
Chaos-Forum : Moonspell will play here next mounth so what do you think about ?
JP : Same . It is great to know international bands r touring in some arab countries .
We have few bands coming here as well very soon, We've got 'Mac Beth' and 'Apocalyptica' in June , and Lake of tears in July ..
Chaos-Forum : How is everything going with your album?
JP : Going good I guess. It needs more time so we can start evaluating the whole thing on an international level. But the release itself is a great thing for the band . We are still waiting for reviews about it so we can check the feedbacks .
On the other hand, we think it gave a great push for the local scene, and opened the way for some other bands to get somewhere .
Chaos-Forum : What would you like to say to your fans out there?
JP : I want to thank them , and ask them to buy our album , that's the real support we need. And for those who havent checked the band yet , they can logon to our official site : www.kimaera.org
Chaos-Forum : Thank you for all of your time and let the metal flow
JP : Thank u and regards to Morocco .

vous appelez ça un interview???
ben d'abord avant d'interviwer un groupe essayez d'avoir un max d'infos pour ne pas tomber dans les questions où vous finissez par victime de manque d'informations
Chaos-Forum : When exactly was it that you joined the band?
JP : I think u should have read our biography . I started the band back in 2000.
comment tu demandes au front man du groupe quand il a rejoint le groupe? looooooool
Chaos-Forum : Present yourself to the audience.
audience? loool en plus la question ressemble à un ordre
Chaos-Forum : Who are the guitar players that influenced you? And can tell us about the band's influences?
JP : That can be checked in our official website , by reading each member's profile .
manque d'informations questions inutiles
ben pour lire des vrais interview je t'invites à Metal Waves www.metal-waves.com
